16 November 2020

Dear Valued Customer

On behalf of the shareholders of Amuri Transport, I would like to inform you that we have recently signed an agreement to sell 50% of the company shares effective from 31 January 2021.

The new shareholder is Eddie Swain. Eddie comes from a farming background and also brings into the business over 30 years experience in the industry.

Mike and Peter Murphy and Kevin Crean between them will retain ownership of the other 50% of the shares.

Eddie will also assume the Managing Director’s role, while I move myself into retirement.

The Amuri shareholders look forward to working with Eddie and to enhancing the business further together for the mutual benefit of our customers.

Fertiliser Spreading Charges

9 July 2018

Dear Valued Customer

Amuri Transport, in consultation with our customers, are using the TracMap precision farming GPS guidance and job management system to support our fertiliser application operation. TracMap is a proven system that provides accurate spreading, monitoring and proof of placement of fertiliser.

Forthcoming upgrades to TracMap’s software system mean’s Amuri Transport will need to start upgrading hardware in our vehicles or risk losing the system support currently provided by the TracMac business.

TracMap charges Amuri Transport a cost per hectare for the use of their software, and until now, this cost has been absorbed by our business.

As a result of the forthcoming upgrades, we can no longer absorb these costs. While the cost is not significant on a farm by farm basis, across the total of the farms Amuri Transport spreads on, it has become a cost that needs to be reluctantly recovered from you.

Therefore, from the 1st of August 2018 a cost of $0.30c per hectare spread, will now need to be on charged to offset the TracMap costs we don’t currently recover. This will be shown as a separate charge on your invoice.

We are also introducing a cost to map farms or to make changes to existing property maps on your farms, if you require any of this work to be undertaken, a charge of $65.00 per hour will apply.

I trust you understand and appreciate our position for introducing these charges. We appreciate your continued support, please don’t hesitate to contact us if you need any clarification on these changes to our rating structure.

Yours sincerely

General Increase Rate

21st December 2017

Dear Valued Customer,

Amuri Transport wishes to take this opportunity to thank you for your support and to update you on some of the factors affecting our business.

With on going increases to our compliance costs, and the need to retain and attract drivers in the current market, where they are in such demand, there has been considerable impact on our wages and other cost areas over the last 3 years or so.

And as a result, we must look at an increase in our rates to ensure we maintain a sustainable business.

We have calculated that an increase of 4% (3% for wages and 1% for compliance costs) is required, and it is therefore necessary to apply this increase from the 1st February 2018.

Amuri Transport has not passed on any increase to our current rates since July 2014, the decision was made to keep rates stable over the last 3 years due to the economic climate.

We have excluded fuel from our equations, as this is recovered separately through our Fuel Adjustment Factor (FAF) mechanisms on our accounts.

We deeply regret the need to apply this increase and hope that you understand and appreciate the rationale for doing so.

We appreciate your continued support and please don’t hesitate to contact me if you have any queries.

Yours sincerely,
Peter Fiddes
